Weblogs
Dear Liz,
What is a blog? Someone asked me that. But seriously, what is it?

Dear Kate,
Let me get some things out of the way.
Currently Reading: My high school yearbook. Poems I wrote. Your high school yearbook (but only as a source of analogical insight into my own life).
Currently Listening to: A feedback loop recorded by a mic placed 2 inches from my own mouth and phased in oscillating cycles of 1 to 2 seconds of lag time (because I’m so bored and bored of being bored).
Current Mood: Delusional. Solipsistic.
Why is no one reading this?
Tell Kristen it’s a log that’s on the Web. Like a diary for Gen M. What’s Gen M? Someone asked me that.

What’s with the ageism, Matt? Don’t be bringing that around teh LAB. I’ve got some hot underage relatives who are Generation M(ultitasking/edia).
Hey, what’s with demographic neologizing? Why do GRUPs and BoBos and WOOPs love it so much?
And what’s with links? When I’m reading a Web page, I want to stay in one place, not buzz up and down like a bee having a seizure. I’m 10,000 years old, and I want to feel like I am, instead of like I’m one year old, cruising around the HyperAnachrocosm in my baby car. Right? I don’t want a necter-powered aerodrome. I don’t care what cable news says! No links. Just tell me the address. Seriously, how do I get out of this box?

after I read this, I googled ‘grups’ and read the new york metro article ‘up with grups’. I sent it to my parents and to emily’s (that’s my fiancee, to everyone out there in LAB-land) parents. I like how the older I get, the more the generational stereotypes resemble something I would like to be, and actually, since I’m getting older, something that I am. I’m really looking forward to cutting the teeth of whatever we’ll be when *i’m* thirtysomething and (probably) breeding. I’m hoping for total convergence.
